The resignation of UK anti-slavery commissioner Kevin Hyland has prompted scrutiny of Theresa May’s modern slavery policy. Freedom Fund CEO Nick Grono said Hyland had been an “outstanding” and respected commissioner and was disappointed to see him go.

Failures to protect migrant workers’ rights has kept Thailand on the European Union’s “yellow flag” watch list for illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing, according to a new report by the Civil Society’s Coalition for Ethical and Sustainable Seafood.
