Helen Bamber Foundation will work with a Nepali organisation, the Centre for Mental Health and Counselling, to undertake a diagnostic assessment visit to the Freedom Fund’s Nepal hotspot. The visit will research the range of mental health needs of those affected by bonded labour and other forms of slavery in the hotspot, as well as the existing potential of the local partners to support these individuals’ needs. The outcome of the visit will be a report identifying patterns of mental health needs and recommending therapies that could help to address the psychological needs of individuals coming out of bonded labour.
