Hope for Children

Hope for Children is an Australian non-government organisation, working to transform the lives of vulnerable children, young people and their communities in Ethiopia. In its Freedom Fund project, HfC aims to empower community stakeholders to work towards safer migration, whilst also providing psycho-socio and economic empowerment to vulnerable returnees and at-risk girls and women.

Hope for Children will focus on the prevention of unsafe migration of young women and girls to the Middle East in Addis Ketema with a particular focus on returnees and empowerment to prevent re-victimisation and re-trafficking.

They will focus on:

  • Increased income amongst the poorest households in target areas.
  • Strengthening collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and networking to end risky migration.
  • Improved services and support for returnees.
