The Institute of Development Studies (IDS) will conduct a three-year independent evaluation of the Freedom Fund’s South-Eastern Nepal hotspot.
The evaluation will assess the relevance of partners’ interventions and identify the priority socio-economic indicators promoting freedom from slavery. IDS will train FF partners to conduct baseline and follow up measures of prevalence of slavery in the participating communities. They will support selected partners to strengthen their strategic planning, M&E and learning. IDS will undertake a comprehensive evaluation of the overall hotspot intervention and disseminate the findings widely.

The Institute of Development Studies (IDS) is conducting a three-year independent evaluation of the Freedom Fund’s south-eastern Nepal hotspot. The evaluation will assess the relevance, effectiveness & efficiency of the hotspot model in reducing bonded labour in the area, and the sustainability of the hotspot model. As part of the evaluation, a probablistic survey of 1,500 households will be conducted to estimate the prevalence of bonded labour in the project areas and examine change over time.
