Manakamana Training & Skill Development Institute’s key objective is to impart vocational skills training programs and carry out activities under the vocational training discipline for Nepali youth.

Based on the successes and learnings from vocational training provided to 45 participants in 2017, Manakamana will facilitate vocational training for 75 individuals in 2018. The process of vocational training will include the following activities throughout three project phases: pre-training, training provision, and post training.
This grant will provide vocational training to 45 bonded labourers from Dhanusa, Saptari and Siraha districts in south-eastern Nepal. The goal of the training course is to improve the livelihood opportunities of Harawa-Charawa participants to enable sustainable income generation by applying occupational skills in wage employment or self-employment.
