Organisation for Prevention, Rehabilitation and Integration of Female Street Children

The Organisation for Prevention, Rehabilitation and Integration of Female Street Children (OPRIFS) aims to improve the well-being of vulnerable women and girls through comprehensive prevention, rehabilitation and empowerment programs. In its work with the Freedom Fund, OPRIFS will utilise its history of working against forced labour in Addis Ketema to negotiate with employers to improve employment conditions and reduce vulnerability to unsafe migration to the Middle East.

The Organisation for Prevention, Rehabilitation and Integration of Female Street Children will focus on the prevention of unsafe migration of young women and girls to the Middle East with a particular focus on domestic workers and include a focus on employers.

They will focus on:

  • Increased income amongst the poorest households in target areas.
  • Improving the knowledge and practice of migration amongst women and girls.
  • Strengthening collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and networking to end risky migration.
  • Improved services and support for returnees.
