The Salem Don Bosco Anbu Illam Social Service Society will work in 40 villages, where there are a large number of adolescent girls working in spinning mills.
The main activities will be: formation and strengthening of community support groups and adolescent groups, including training village volunteers in issues affecting young workers; empowering adolescents through knowledge of their rights, life skills training and access to health care; helping young workers to get back into education, skills training and find other kinds of work; and providing legal assistance.
