Saundaraya

Saundaraya is an organsation that was formed by young people who were passionate about social justice in Nepal’s Dhanusa District. The aim of the organisation is to enhance the living standard of local community members in villages through social, economic, and cultural activities.

Through this grant, Saundaraya seeks to improve the circumstances faced by Harawa-Charawa (bonded labourer) families both through increased income and through knowledge and pursuit of their rights. The project will be implemented within two village development committee areas and will include economic empowerment, education, group formation and advocacy components.
