In their 2019-2020 project, Women Youth Empowerment in Social Service and Human Right (WYESHR) aim to reduce the prevalence of CSEC and human trafficking in the Adult Entertainment Sector (AES) in Kathmandu. WYESHR seek to improve the provision of emergency assistance and transitional care for CSEC and trafficking victims through their established transition centre. It will sensitise police on the issues of CSEC/trafficking and inform them about the services provided by the transition centre, with the aim of increasing rescues and referrals of victims. WYESHR will also provide vocational skills training and enterprise start-up support to selected beneficiaries in order to provide economic alternatives to the AES and reduce sexual exploitation. In addition, WYESHR has designed a web app for the Kathmandu District Administration Office (DAO) which will make it easier to track the records of entertainment establishments its legal status, location, and engagement of girls and women.
